Description
This is the histopathological image of COLON tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Classification code: Chapter II - Neoplasms
Diagnosis: Ascending colon
Result of the histopathological examination: Tubular adenocarcinoma within a highly differentiated tubular adenoma (G1) infiltrating the submucosa of the large intestine and its peduncle (Haggitt 3). No vascular or nervous invasion. The tumour was removed completely. Areas of submucosal haemorrhages (smaller than in previous samples).
