This is the histopathological image of BRONCHUS AND LUNG tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: Tumor of the upper lobe of the left lung, 1.5 cm in diameter, located peripherally. The distance from the pleura is 0.1 cm.

Diagnosis: Bronchiolo-alveolar adenocarcinoma, NOS
Result of the histopathological examination: Lung adenocarcinoma, lepidic type, G1, pT1b Neoplastic cells growing along the surface of the alveolar air spaces Foci of stromal invasion are characterized by angulated glands, desmoplastic stroma and increased cytologic atypia. Immunohistochemical stains: positive staining for TTF-1 and negative staining for p40 and CD56.
