Description

This is the histopathological image of CERVIX UTERI tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: Erosion of the exocervix. HSIL confirmed in biopsy taken during colposcopy.

Result of the histopathological examination: Cervical cone with extensive (covering both lips) glandular ectopy in the epithelization phase, with extensive chronic active inflammation. Within the parepidermal epithelium of the transformation zone, areas of high-grade dysplasia (HSIL / CIN 3, p16 (+)) can be seen.
