Description

This is the histopathological image of SMALL INTESTINE tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Result of the histopathological examination: Samples of the duodenal mucosa with subtotal atrophy of the villi, proliferation of crypts and the number of IELs above 30 per 100 enterocytes. The histological picture corresponds to the changes in the course of celiac disease (Marsh grade 3B).
