Description
This is the histopathological image of COLON tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Result of the histopathological examination: Complex adenocarcinoma: a well-differentiated component made of well-differentiated glandular tubes and a low-differentiated component built of solid areas with the formation of adenoid structures. The whole supports the diagnosis of primary colorectal adenocarcinoma with features of local dedifferentiation (adenocarcinoma G3 / focal high grade). Emboli of cancer cells in the lumen of the vessels. The cancer infiltration covers the entire thickness of the intestinal wall, intestinal adipose tissue and locally destroys the surface of serous membrane. CK Pan (+) in both components.
