DLC coating in ring-on-ring sliding with water lubrication 10MPa/0.1m/s

Description

Wear tests in sliding friction of DLC coating on 1.4021 (EN 10088-1) heat treated stainless steel. Ring - on - ring contact in unidirectional sliding, DLC-W over DLC-W. Mean contact stress: 10MPa. Sliding velocity: 0,1 m/s. Mean friction radius: 9.5mm. Lubricant: WATER. Tribometer: PT-3.
Overall test time >15h. The test was augmented by vibration monitoring performed in real time (low sampling frequency) and in burst mode (high frequency) at 4 h intervals. Secimen numbers: A27 (top, rotating), B29 (bottom, non-rotating).
Data format: Matlab. Data condition: unprocessed.
Files (by name types):
Akc1.mat, Akc2.mat etc. - full length, low resolution vibration amplitude monitoring
Akc11.mat, Akc21.mat etc. - burst mode vibration recording, high resolution vibration monitoring
LOAD.mat - normal force data
MOMENT.mat - friction force/torque data
TACHO.mat - rotational velocity (spindle RPM)/sliding velocity
TEMP.mat - lubricant temperature data
All matlab type files contain metadata describing calibration functions (polynomial) for conversion from raw digital signal to physical units, sampling frequency and type of physical unit corresponding to the given data channel.
