This is the histopathological image of COLON tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: Autopsy. Tuberculosis and emphysema of the lungs with lymphadenopathy. Pseudomembranous colitis. Shock. Cachexia.

Result of the histopathological examination: Pseudomembranous inflammation in colon specimens. In samples from the small intestine, tuberculous lesions and concomitant pseudomembranous inflammation, also including the area of ​​the intestinal anastomosis. Mesenteric lymph nodes with tuberculous lesions.
