Description
This is the histopathological image of COLON tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: Autopsy. Tuberculosis and emphysema of the lungs with lymphadenopathy. Pseudomembranous colitis. Shock. Cachexia.

Result of the histopathological examination: Pseudomembranous inflammation in colon specimens. In samples from the small intestine, tuberculous lesions and concomitant pseudomembranous inflammation, also including the area of the intestinal anastomosis. Mesenteric lymph nodes with tuberculous lesions.
