Description

This is the histopathological image of STOMACH tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: 27 x 15 x 17 mm tumor of stomach. EUS- Gastric GIST.

Result of the histopathological examination: GIST: tumor composed of spindled cells. Mitotix index: 4 mitoses per 50 HPF. Risk of Disease Progression- low (1,9 % )(Category 2). Incomplete excision.
