Description

This is the histopathological image of STOMACH tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: 8 cm tumor of stomach. Suspicion of gastric carcinoma.

Result of the histopathological examination: GIST: tumor composed of spindled cells. Mitotix index: 2 mitoses per 50 HPF. Risk of Disease Progression- low (3,6 % )(Category 3a). CD117+, DOG1+, SMA-, Ki-67 1%.
