Description

This is the histopathological image of STOMACH tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: 1,8 x 1,0 1,4 cm submucosal tumor of greater curvature of stomach. Suspicion of GIST.

Result of the histopathological examination: GIST: DOG1+, CD117+, SMA-, Ki-67 7%. Mitotic index: 4 mitoses per 50 HPF. Risk of Disease Progression- very low (0 % )(Category 1).
