Description

This is the histopathological image of STOMACH tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: Gastroscopy: intramural tumor of anterior wall of stomach, diameter 8 cm. Suspicion of GIST.

Diagnosis: GIST

Result of the histopathological examination: GIST: Mitotix index: 5 mitoses per 50 HPF. Risk of Disease Progression- low (3,6 % )(Category 3a). CD117+, DOG1+, SMA+, CD34+, S100-, Ki-67 10%.
