Description

This is the histopathological image of HEMATOPOIETIC AND RETICULOENDOTHELIAL SYSTEMS tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: Patient with night sweats, weight loss - approx. 30 kg for the last 3 months and generalized lymphadeopathy. Based on the supraclavicular lymph node biopsy,Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) was diagnosed.

Result of the histopathological examination: Giemsa - the second basic staining to assess the major lines of hemopoiesis Topography and maturation paths of the main lines of hemopoiesis without significant deviations, M: E ratio of 4: 1. Megakaryocytes in proportion to the marrow cellularity, with morphology and distribution within the normal range.
