Description

This is the histopathological image of LIVER AND INTRAHEPATIC BILE DUCTS tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: History of chronic hepatitis B. Pain in right flank. 3,8 x 3,3 cm tumor of liver on ultrasound. FNAC- suspicion of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Result of the histopathological examination: Hepatocellular carcinoma G3. Carcinoma cells: CK7+, HepPar+, Glypican+, AFP single cells+, CD34+ (vessels, capillarization of hepatic sinusoids), reticulin + (highlights the thickened hepatocyte plates), Ki-67 30%.
