Description

This is the histopathological image of HEART, MEDIASTINUM, AND PLEURA tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: Shock. Enzymatic necrosis of pancreas. Arterial hypertension.

Result of the histopathological examination: The myocardium of left ventricle with hypertrophy of some myocardiocytes. In some of the samples connective tissue scars are present. Locally signs of early ischemic damage to part of the myocardiocytes in the form of spasm nodes.
