Description

This is the histopathological image of PROSTATE GLAND tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

The detailed information about the patient, sample, and diagnosis are as follows:

Age: 67

Clinical description: DRE: enlarged prostate, especially right lobe with higher density. PSA 5,5. Biopsy from the right lobe.

Classification code: Chapter II - Neoplasms

Diagnosis: Malignant neoplasm of prostate

Result of the histopathological examination: Prostate adenocarcinoma (adenocarcinoma acinare, Gleason score 3 + 4 Grade group 4 according to ISUP & WHO 2014). The malignancy covers ca 30% of the sample area. No signs of angio- or neuroinvasion.
