Description

This is the histopathological image of LYMPH NODES tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Age: 68

Clinical description: Core-needle biopsy of the supraclavicular lymph node in a patient with lymphadenopathy of the lymph nodes of the neck and armpit on the left side. Additionally, the patient reports night sweats that have been occurring from about 1 month.

Classification code: MATURE B-CELL LYMPHOMAS

Diagnosis: Mantle cell lymphoma

Result of the histopathological examination: Mantle cell lymphoma, MCL Fragments of a lymphoidtissue of diffuse structure, with profuse infiltrates of medium and small-sized B lymphocytes. Proliferation index, Ki67: 60%. Immunophenotype: CD20 (+) / CD3 (-) / CD5 (+) / CyclinD1 (+) / CD23 (-)
