Description
This is the histopathological image of LYMPH NODES tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: A patient with enlarged axillary, cervical and inguinal nodes (up to 2.5 cm), no night sweats, no fever. The cytometric test confirmed marginal zone lymphoma.

Classification code: MATURE B-CELL LYMPHOMAS
Diagnosis: Marginal zone B-cell lymphoma, NOS
Result of the histopathological examination: Marginal zone lymphoma (MZL)3 Fragments of the lymphoid structure with infiltrates composed of small B lymphocytes, with the formation of germinal centers with a partially obliterated CD23 (+) dendritic cell network. Immunophenotype: CD20 (+) / CD3 (-) / CD43 (+/-) / CD5 (-) / CD23 (-) / CyclinD1 (-). Ki67 proliferation index low: up to 20% on average.
