Description

This is the histopathological image of CERVIX UTERI tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Result of the histopathological examination: Cervical disc mucosa with true erosion and glandular ectropion with chronic active inflammation, Naboth's cysts, with the presence of focal markers of reactive atypia and higher degree of intraepithelial neoplasia within the transformation zone (CIN 2 / HSIL, p16 (+)). The surgical margin of the exocervix from the side of the vaginal margin is free of dysplastic changes.
