Description

This is the histopathological image of BREAST tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: 2 cm palpable tumor of right breast. 25 x 20 mm normoechoic well-circumscribed tumor on ultrasound. Core needle biopsy: mucinous adenocarcinoma.

Result of the histopathological examination: Mucinous adenocarcinoma- NHG1: well-circumscribed tumor composed of nests of tumor cells floating in pools of extracellular mucin. ER+, PR+, HER2 0, Ki-67 20% (positive nuclear reaction).
