Description

This is the histopathological image of PAROTID GLANID tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 1000 slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: Tumor of left parotid gland. 25 x 15 mm heterogenous solid tumor on ultrasound.

Diagnosis: Mucoepidermoid carcinoma

Result of the histopathological examination: Mucoepidermoid carcinoma of salivary gland (intermediate-grade). Vascular invasion is present (LVI+). CKAE1/AE3+, CK7+, GATA3+, CK5/6+, SOX-10-, S100-, GFAP-, MUC5+, p40+, Ki-67 10%.
