Description

This is the histopathological image of ACCESSORY SINUSES tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: Patient with a tumor lesion filling the right maxillary sinus, partially entering the middle nasal cavity, with described partial destruction of the sinus wall.

Result of the histopathological examination: Fragments of a benign neoplasm consistent with odontogenic myxoma. Mucicarmine and alcian blue (+), S-100 (-), CD34 (+) in the endothelium, Ki67 (+) in single cells.
