Description
This is the histopathological image of BRAIN tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: Tumor with the morphology of a high-differentiated glioma of the superior frontal cortex Fragments measuring 4x3.5x2.8 cm of cream-colored, soft surface. The brain fragment is seen in the material. The tumor measures approximately 3x2x1 cm.

Diagnosis:Classification: ICD-O_3.2
Classification code: GLIOMAS
Diagnosis: Oligodendroglioma, NOS
Result of the histopathological examination: Diffuse low glioma consistent with Oligodendroglioma(WHO G II).Immunohistochemically: GFAP (+), Olig2 (+), vimentin (-) in some cells, IDH1/R132H (+), p53 (-), Ki67 up to 5%. Molecular testing for the presence of 1p/19q codeletion is recommended.
