Description

This is the histopathological image of ADRENAL GLAND tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: A tumor of left adrenal gland, 4 cm in diameter. Level of normetanephrin in 24-hour urine collection >2766 ug/24 hours (norm: 105-354 ug/24 hours)

Classification: ICD-O_3.2

Classification code: PARAGANGLIOMAS AND GLOMUS TUMORS

Diagnosis: Pheochromocytoma, NOS

Result of the histopathological examination: Pheochromocytoma of adrenal gland Tumor composed of large, polygonal cells with nested and diffuse atterns. Necrosis absent. Nuclear atypia increased.
