Description
This is the histopathological image of BRONCHUS AND LUNG tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Result of the histopathological examination: In lung samples, there are thrombi in the blood vessels, areas of pulmonary hemorrhagic infarction. Granulocytic infiltrates focally pass through the entire thickness of the vessel walls and penetrate the surrounding pulmonary parenchyma. In addition, acute passive hyperemia, intraalveolar edema, hemosiderophage clusters in alveoli, and atelectasis. Some alveolar septa thickened with fibrosis.
