Description

This is the histopathological image of BRONCHUS AND LUNG tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Result of the histopathological examination: Congestion and oedema with areas of atelectasis in lung samples. Additionally diffuse calcifications and hyalinisation foci accompanied by sparse giant cell infiltrates around the foreign body. Coal dust deposits in the local lymph nodes.
