Description

This is the histopathological image of OTHER AND ILL-DEFINED SITES tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: 5 cm palpable mobile well-circumscribed tumor of neck.

Result of the histopathological examination: Schwannoma- well-circumscribed biphasic tumor: hypercellular Antoni A areas and hypocellular Antoni B areas. Verocay bodies are present. Cells of tumor- narrow, elongated and wavy. S100+, CD34-, EMA-, Ki-67 2%.
