Description
This is the histopathological image of BRONCHUS AND LUNG tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Result of the histopathological examination: The lung samples with areas of secondary atelectasis of the lung parenchyma, areas of massive congestion, the presence of blood in the lumen of the bronchioles and alveoli, and morphological markers of bronchospasm. In addition, areas of subpleural effusions are visible. Fibrin deposits on the surface of the lung, possibly representing fibrosis and possibly pleural adhesions.
