Description
This is the histopathological image of STOMACH tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: In the wall of the body and the antrumof the stomach, on the lesser curvature, there is a thickening of dimensions 4.5x4.5x1.2 cm. Condition after preoperative chemotherapy.

Diagnosis: Signet ring cell adenocarcinoma
Result of the histopathological examination: Poorly cohesive carcinoma of the stomach, G3 (according to Lauren, diffuse type), ypT3 ypN0 TRG2 (according to AJCC 8th edition) Neoplastic cells are isolated or arranged in small aggregates without well formed glands Part of neoplastic cells is signet ring cell type
