Description

This is the histopathological image of CONNECTIVE, SUBCUTANEOUS AND OTHER SOFT TISSUES tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Age: 22

Clinical description: 4 cm painful subcutaneous tumor in lumbar area. 37 mm hypervascular tumor on ultrasound.

Gender: Female

Diagnosis:

Classification: ICD-O_3.2

Classification code: FIBROMATOUS NEOPLASMS

Diagnosis: Solitary fibrous tumor, NOS

Result of the histopathological examination: Solitary fibrous tumor: CD34+, STAT 6+, VIM+, CKAE1/AE3 focally +, S100-, Ki-67 15%. Mitotic index: 4 mitosis/10 HPF. No necrosis.
