Specimen running-in. Prep. to sliding friction tests. Ring-on-ring contact. Sintered alumina ceramics (98%). Paraffin oil lubrication. Specimen set #22 - #23.

Description

Specimen running-in procedure. Preparation to sliding friction tests in ring-on-ring contact. Sintered alumina ceramics (98%) in self-mated contact. Lubrication: paraffin oil. Sliding velocity: 0.2 m/s. Mean contact stress: 10 MPa. Test rig: PT-3 Tribometer. Specimen set #22 (upper, rotating), #23 (lower, non-rotating)
CZ_PRZYS.MAT - accelerometer
MOM_TAR.MAT - friction torque
OBCI.MAT - normal force (load), signal feed from hydraulic load system
PR_OBR.MAT - rotational velocity, signal feed from motor driving the spindle via poly-V belt transmission
SI_MEMB.MAT - normal force (load), signal feed from sensor built into non-rotational specimen (lower) holder
TACHO.MAT - rotational velocity, signal feed from tacho-generator coupled directly to spindle turning the rotational specimen (upper)
TEMPER.MAT - lubricant temperature in bulk volume
TMP_PR.MAT - temperature in direct vicinity of frictional contact

Each data sub-set in a batch contains metadata on sampling frequency, physical units, calibration function (raw data to physical units conversion). See below example, representative to all the data vectors:
cz_si_memb - sampling frequency in channel 'SI_MEMB',
jend_si_memb - physical unit in channel 'SI_MEMB',
fun_si_memb - calibration function (digital raw data to physical unit conversin function) in channel 'SI_MEMB',
The actual measured signal (raw digital data) is stored in vector 'si_memb',
The prefixes in metadata strings (e.g. cz_, jedn_, fun_) are repeatable in every sub-set.
