Description

This is the histopathological image of STOMACH tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Result of the histopathological examination: Samples of atrophic gastric mucosa with no proper fundic glands, with numerous areas of intestinal metaplasia. In some of the sections, clusters of neuroendocrine cells forming clusters with a diameter of up to 0.3 cm in the examined sections. IHC: CK Pan (+), CD56 (+), synaptophysin (+), chromogranin (-), Ki67: 2%. Histological picture of NET G1 lesions resulting from atrophic gastropathy.
