Description

This is the histopathological image of RENAL PELVIS tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

The detailed information about the patient, sample, and diagnosis are as follows:

Age: 69

Clinical description: Patient without any symptoms. In abdominal ultasound a tumor in upper calyx was detected, occurance confirmed in CT scans.

Result of the histopathological examination: Invasive urothelial carcinoma with squamous differentiation of kidey pelvis, high grade. Tumor invides renal parenchyma and hilar fat tissue (in other specimens)
