Experimental investigation on concrete beams under bending manufactured by additive 3D printing technique.
Experimental tests will be carried out on 3D-printed concrete beams under bending. The following aspects will be investigated: 1) the influence of the single layer geometry, 2) the influence of the specimen dimensions (size effect), 3) the influence of the addition of steel fibres on the nominal strength of the specimen and the failure mechanism. The results obtained will then be used to calibrate the non-local material model in Abaqus and to develop the concept of a printed beam floor.
