The project aims to improve the quality of academic didactics and promote the use of modern educational methods by establishing substantive and long-term cooperation with business schools in the UK. The project will include the development of sustainable, comprehensive multimedia tools and teaching aids in the area of modern educational methods in the field of education of economic and business subjects at the higher education level. It will be the most prominent and highest-quality multimedia bank of teaching methods and practical guidelines for university teachers worldwide. The project will also contribute to the recognition of partnership universities among international candidates and raise the rank of outstanding teachers working at the mentioned institutions.
We plan to develop an online platform to present modern teaching methods. Each method will consist of an introductory video and additional materials: examples of application, practical tips, and templates for use in the classroom (in the form of editable files and online materials). Among the described methods, we will find such as:
active learning, gamification, social media learning, flipped classroom, reflective diary, storytelling, case study, problem-based learning, peer learning, tools: e.g., podcasts, mind maps, creative boards, e-books, videos, real-life quizzes, AI chat, and many more.
Teachers of the partner universities will develop the methods based on their experience and the students' insights. We will also allow teachers worldwide to submit their methods and tools to the platform. As a result, we will create a unique hub for sharing didactic and teaching skills at the higher education level and a precious database of practical aids for university teachers.
We also plan to publish a printed and digital book titled: “The Great Book of Active Learning.” and organize TEDx Gdańsk Tech, Subject: “The Best Teaching Methods Day,” captured as an educational video.
The event will be held in Gdańsk, Poland, with streaming online. Great speakers and academics from different countries in the formula of 15-minute inspirational speeches will present the best teaching method of their choice.
