Application and audience
At the moment there are no manufacturers of thin-walled I-beam sections on the European market, the final cross-section of which is obtained by gluing two cold-rolled channels. The recipient of the product could be the widely understood construction industry based on bar steel structures in the realizations.
Innovative aspects and main features
Currently on the market, the method of joining two thin-walled channels is based on bolting them together, which weakens the entire section. The offered solution, because of gluing, allows to meet strength requirements, optimizes geometries and compared to competing products. In addition, in the case of free convex spaces formed between the ribs of the webs, plastic-based foam can be used to fill them.
