The course entitled "Assessment of Performance of Unmanned Maritime Vehicles (W-Lecture)" is conducted for the DAPE WIMiO Students.

 

The AP-of-UMV (W) course is to discuss the following problems:

- major areas of application of UMV unmanned maritime vehicles,

- sea environment,

- types of UMV vehicles,

- parameters, characteristics and features of UMV vehicles,

- research, design, construction, implementation and operation of  UMV vehicles,

- systems of UMV vehicles including sensors,

- steering, navigation and communication of UMV vehicles,

- examples of applications.

Assessment of Performance of Unmanned Maritime Vehicles (P-Project) - DAPE - WIMiO

AP-of-UMV (P) -DAPE - WIMiO

 

The course entitled "Assessment of Performance of Unmanned Maritime Vehicles (P-Project)" is conducted for the DAPE WIMiO Students.

 

The major aim of the AP-of-UMV (P) course is to learn the students to design and evaluate the basic parameters, characteristics and features of the UMV vehicles.

 

The following problems associated with the UMV vehicles will be considered:

- design requirements,

- main dimesions, hull form and arrangement of internal spaces,

- selecting the basic UMV vehicle systems and deck equipment,

- selection of materials and centre of gravity estimation including the ballasting,  

- assessment of UMV resistance and required power estimation,

- estimation of the source of energy supply,

- assessment of all the basic hydrodynamic characteristics of the UMV vehicle,

- steering, navigation and communication of the UMV vehicle,

- a role of mission and tasks to be performed by the UMV vehicle.
