The research activity aims to explore the underresearched issue - negative aspects of involvement in establishing and running a start-up. A qualitative study is planned, and it will be carried out in the interpretative paradigm, which is related to the lack of research hypotheses. As part of the activity, it is planned to conduct 15 in-depth interviews with people representing the start-up community. These will be start-up founders and people representing venture capital funds investing in start-ups with high growth potential. The involvement of two groups of respondents will allow obtaining results with more excellent reliability. The research aims not to present entrepreneurial activities in a negative light but rather to explore what factors may determine the occurrence of negative aspects of over-involvement among start-up founders. It seems that this knowledge may be of significant theoretical importance and valuable from the point of view of, for example, entrepreneurship education.
