Breast cancer - a new target for unsymmetrical bisacridine derivatives.

The research concerns the cytotoxic activity and cellular response induced in breast cancer cells of different genetic characteristics by a derivative of unsymmetric bisacridines synthesized in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biochemistry. The research proposed in the project and the obtained results will expand the knowledge about potential anticancer drugs from the biscaridine group obtained at our Faculty and patented by the Gdańsk University of Technology (EU patent 2017, US patent 2019, Japan patent 2023), which may increase their "value" in future research projects aimed at their implementation in the clinic as drugs, also in therapies against breast cancer.
