Development of pioneering technologies necessary to introduce to the market the Mobile Science Center and preparation of its prototype solution
Concept development, design and construction of approx. 15 demonstration stands for the interactive implementation of scientific experiments for active learning in the areas of astronomy, space research and space missions for the Mobile Science Center, with the use of astronomical observation devices, satellite and aerial Earth observation data, virtual and augmented reality, mechatronic and robotic devices, haptic control mechanisms, simulation software and other devices for observing selected physical phenomena in real time. The developed prototypes of stands will reach the TRL-9 level of technological maturity and will be rolled out on the Polish market by the consortium leader company. Thanks to its modular design, the Mobile Science Center will be able to be deployed anywhere in Poland, without the need to allocate additional space inside existing buildings, and will provide intelligent streaming of advanced teaching content in real time, dedicated to various social groups, including in particular health, economic or geographically excluded individuals. Gdańsk University of Technology will be a co-owner of the developed solutions and a shareholder in the implementation of the Mobile Science Center on the domestic market and a co-author of patent applications planned under the project for selected demonstration stands.

Graphical interface adaption for children to explain astronomy proportions and distances
PublicationMobile Science Center is a Polish project that seeks to bring astronomy knowledge to wider social groups through various applications. In its development it is necessary to design a graphical interface that explains a concept that is difficult to assimilate such as spatial proportions and distances. This paper develops a framework to create graphical representations that explain this learning to the target audience of children....
