Optimisation of parameters of mechanical structures in order to achieve the assumed dynamic properties.

The scientific activity planned for implementation within the project involves a three-month research internship in the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics, AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. The scientific supervisor of the internship will be Tadeusz Uhl, Professor PhD DSc, who is a recognised and respected expert in structural dynamics and vibroacoustics, in particular experimental modal analysis. The implementation of the planned scientific activity is directly related to the research conducted by the author of the application and the research team he is a member of, on the properties of mechanical structures (in particular, structures of periodic character) in terms of achieving the assumed dynamic parameters. The scientific objective of this project is to study the relationship between physical parameters describing the structure of periodic structures and elastic waves propagating in them. Conducting experimental research with the use of the highest class measuring equipment available in the centre, which is the place of the planned research internship, is crucial and necessary for the further implementation of the research of the entire research team, also in the context of applying for funds necessary to continue the project at an appropriately high scientific level. As a result, it is planned to prepare further project applications for the implementation of this research both within the framework of the university's own resources (within the strategy of the Initiative of Excellence - Research University) as well as in competitions of the National Science Centre and other national competitions. A three-month scientific internship in a renowned national research centre will also undoubtedly contribute to the acquisition of valuable experience, which will enable more effective application for funding for both further research and internships in foreign centres within national and international programs.
