Centers of Excellence - initial conception

Abstract

In literature, the most basic definition of centers of excellence is " CoE is a team of people that promote collaboration and use best practices around a specific focus area to drive business result". More broadly, center of excellence is defined as " a premier organization providing an exceptional product or service in an assigned sphere of expertise and within a specific field of technology, business, or government, consistent with the unique requirements and capabilities of the COE organization".Gdańsk University of Technology, as a Project Partner, was asked for preparing the initial conception of the Centers of Excellences. This conception based on the survery results. The questionairre was preapred by the authors. Four Centers of excellence were identified and the future activities were proposed.
