Abstract
Coumarone-indene resins (CIR) with carboxy groups were synthesized via cooligomerization of unsaturated compounds presented in ligh fraction of coal tar and its fraction boiling out within 423-463 K with the addition of such industrial monomers as styrene, maleic anhydride, glycidyl methacrlate and methacryclic acid. 2,2-azobs 92-methylpropionitrile) in the form of 0,2 M solution in toluene was used as an initiator. The effect of monomers nature, initiator amount, temperature and reaction time on the yield and characteristics of resulted CIR has been determined.
