Abstract
For washing of the oil from polluted soil surfactants solutions were applied. In a research a nonionic synthetic surfactant - polyoxyethylene ether of synthetic fatty alcohol (Rokanol NL6), rhamnolipid biosurfactant JBR 425 (Jeneil Biosurfactant Co. LLC) and their mixtures were used. Results of oil removal from peat soil and sand with mixtures of surfactants solutions at concentration 0,5 g/dm 3 were comparable. The oil was more easily removed from the sand (removal was about 60-100 %) than from the peat soil (40-60 %) in single component solutions, what results from the difference in these soils composition. In case of ex situ remediation the use of biosurfactant is disadvantageous, as it decreases oil removal comparing to that when Rokanol NL6 was used.
