The influence of esterification time on the physicochemical properties of poly (glycerol sebacate-co- butylene sebacate)
Abstract
The study presents the results of the physicochemical properties of ester elastomer based on sebacic acid, glycerol and 1,4 - butanediol. The process of obtaining elastomers at variable esterification times of 14, 16 and 21 h is described. It was found that the material with an esterification time of 21 h is characterized by the best mechanical properties while maintaining high content of the gel fraction. In the technological aspect, extending the time of esterification in the first stage made it possible to shorten the time of the elastomer production process by 30%, which is economically advantageous.
