Formation of wood surface roughness in burnishing process
PublicationW publikacji przedstawiono i omówiono rozwój bezwiórowych metod obróbki wykańczającej drewna przez nagniatanie. Przedstawiono wpływ nagniatania na chropowatość powierzchni drewna. Badania przeprowadzono na próbkach toczonych i nagniatanych. Wyniki odniesiono do głównych parametrów nagniatania jak: siła nagniatania oraz promień zaokrąglenia elementu nagniatającego.

New ceramic and composite tools for smoothing burnishing process
PublicationW pracy przedstawiono nowe konstrukcje narzędzi ceramicznych i z kompozytu karbonado do nagniatania twardych hartowanych stali. Zamieszczono wyniki badań wpływu parametrów technologicznych nagniatania walcowych próbek ze stali 45 o różnej twardości 23-56HRC na chropowatość powierzchni próbek.

Application of ceramic and composite tools in smoothing burnishing process.
PublicationArtykuł zawiera oryginalne konstrukcje narzędzi nagniatających. Elementy nagniatające zostały wykonane z ceramiki i kompozytu ''Karbonado''. Narzędzia te mogą być stosowane na obrabiarkach CNC i centrach obróbkowych, zwłaszcza do obróbki stali hartowanych. Artykuł przedstawia również wyniki badań i przykłady zastosowań tych narzędzi w przemyśle.

The Roughness of the Hardened Steel Surface Created by the Rolling-Burnishing Process
PublicationBurnishing hard materials can be used as an alternative finishing process. this paper presents the results of burnishing hardened steel. The article discusses surface deformation that occurs during this process and depends on the selected parameters of the geometric structure of the force applied for surface burnishing.

Jumping Wave Characteristic during Low Plasticity Burnishing Process
PublicationDuring the low plasticity burnishing process of soft materials such as carbon steel with a hardness of up to 40 HRC (Rockwell grade) a raised structure of the material known as the Jumping Wave forms in front of the tool roll. This phenomenon significantly disturbs the burnishing process, but is very poorly described in the literature. This article presents studies of this phenomenon on the example of burnished 1.0562 steel. The...
