  • Turning ability of hydrofoil crafts

    Publication

    - Year 2003

  • Hybrid Processing by Turning and Burnishing of Machine Components

    Publication

    - Year 2018

The paper presents a method of hybrid manufacturing process of long 5 shafts and deep holes by simultaneous turning and burnishing method. The tech- 6 nological results of the research focus on the influence of the basic technological 7 parameters of this process on the surface roughness of piston rods of hydraulic 8 cylinders. Research results are presented in the graphs as well as mathematical 9 formula. Set of samples were made...

  • Surface Texture after Turning for Various Workpiece Rigidities

    Publication

In the paper, we present an analysis of the surface texture of turned parts with L/D (length/diameter) ratios of 6 and 12 and various rigidity values. The studies were carried out on samples made of S355JR steel and AISI 304 stainless steel. A detailed analysis of 2D surface profiles was carried out by using a large number of parameters that allowed us to distinguish significant differences in the surface microgeometry, which confirmed...

  • Integrated production technology of cylindrical surfaces by turning and burnishing

The method is based on a combination of previously used two separate operations namely machining and burnishing in a one complex operation implemented on a lathe. In the case of machining shafts and hydraulic cylinders of steel C45 is possible to obtain a surface roughness Ra=0,16 - 0,32 micrometers, dimensional accuracy class 7-8 according to ISO standards, and increase in the hardness of the surface up to 40%.
