Biography
Krzysztof Jamroziak is Full Professor of the Wroclaw University of Scinece and Technology in Department Mechanic, Materials and Biomedical Engineering. His interests relate to composite materials, mechanical properties, ballistic impact, ballistic shields, nonlinear dynamics, strength of composite materials. Attention is focused on research on innovative composite structures subjected to impact loads, physico-mechanical properties of ballistic composite materials, modeling the mechanical properties of composite materials using classical and non-classical methods and their response to impulse excitations. He developed his own methodology for identifying the properties of impulse-loaded materials, adopting the theory of energy and power balance equations, which was developed at the Department. The main attention is focused on fast-changing phenomena in which the propagation of shock waves plays a dominant role, where the behavior of the material is similar to that of a liquid-like (hydrodynamic). He is the author/co-author of many scientific papers of about 200 publications, half of which are indexed in the SCOPUS database, 2 monographs and several patents.
