Description

This is the histopathological image of BREAST tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

The detailed information about the patient, sample, and diagnosis are as follows:

Clinical description: 2 cm palpable tumor of right breast. 25 x 20 mm normoechoic well-circumscribed tumor on ultrasound. Core needle biopsy: mucinous adenocarcinoma.

Classification code: CYSTIC, MUCINOUS AND SEROUS NEOPLASMS

Diagnosis: Mucinous adenocarcinoma

Result of the histopathological examination: Mucinous adenocarcinoma- NHG1: well-circumscribed tumor composed of nests of tumor cells with intermediate nuclear grade floating in pools of extracellular mucin. Mucin pools separated by fibrous septa with capillaries. No metastases to lymph node. ER+, PR+, HER2 0, Ki-67 20%.
