Description
This is the histopathological image of SKIN tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Age: 52
Clinical description: Right scapula region. The skin measuring 4.8x2.5 cm with 2 cm thick subcutaneous tissue. On sectioning, a poorly demarcated creamy focus in the skin measuring 1x1x0.7 cm is visible.

Result of the histopathological examination: An abundant mixed infiltrate of small T and B lymphoid cells is seen in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. T lymphocytes with phenotype: CD3(+), CD5(+), CD7(+), CD43(+), Bcl-2(+), CD4/CD8 = 2:1. B lymphocytes with phenotype: CD20(+), CD79(+), BSAP(+), CD10(-), Bcl-6(-), cyclin-D1(-). Ki67 - approximately 30% of cells. The histopathologic picture is most consistent with a reactive lymphocytic proliferation (pseudolymphoma).
