The number of students in public and private universities in 1990-2011

Description

From the 2005/2006 academic year - when the number of students reached a record value of 1,953.8 thousand - the number of students is systematically decreasing. Within 5 years, this number decreased by 5.8%, and over the last year, the decrease amounted to 3.1%. These changes are related to the constantly decreasing number of people aged 19-24. Despite this, in some types of schools, such as universities / medical academies, schools of the Ministry of National Defense, as well as internal affairs and administration, the number of students increased.
